Cabin Fever Winter Break Art camp

 

 

At Artyard Studio, your children will explore multiple aspects of art and the creative process. This year, we have a WINTER ART CAMP week in December as well as our February Break. Each day of the week is filled with exciting projects designed to stimulate creative thought and development in your young artists. This is our second year we have chosen to add the Winter Camps as last year was a great success and so much fun. See artyardstudio.com for photos.

In a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere, your children will follow the paths of the experienced art instructor and receive the individual attention needed to ensure high quality artwork and understanding. While learning artful skills and having fun, we will create something new each day. In addition, we'll take time each day for a snack and good conversation. The learned techniques and newfound friendships help create a positive and fun learning experience. December and February camp weeks will start off with a clay project. Weather permitting we will spend some time creating snow sculptures in the park later in the week.

 


Winter Pottery and Painting Camp
The potter’s wheel will be explored in our week long Pottery Camps taught by Thom “The Village Potter”. We will also go over basic hand-building techniques pinch, coil, slab along with our wheel time. In addition, under-glaze pattern techniques and other glaze applications will be explored. We will also complete a still life painting.  Weather permitting we will spend some time creating snow sculptures and sledding in the park later in the week.

Winter Art Camp
  Artyard’s Art Camps a few example projects can include: wearable art, pottery, & wood or paper sculpture. In addition, we'll take time each day for a snack and good conversation. Each camp week will start off with a clay project and end with snow sculptures in the park later in the week.

Winter Camps  Day Package
Yes your child can attend Both Camps. All they will need is a brown bag Lunch. We will watch a Video or play board games during the lunch break.
