Afternoon Pottery & Clay Camp 2024

Afternoon Pottery &Clay (Ages 11 – 16) Working creating with clay and the use of potter’s wheel will be explored in this week long Pottery Camp offered to young pottery Students.  We will also go over basic Pottery techniques taught: pinch, coil clay sculpture and  along with some wheel time. We should have approximately two wheel throwing sessions during a this pottery camp week.  In addition to focusing on a pottery hand building we will explore texture and form along with glaze applications will be explored at end of week. We will spend a day along the creek sculpting along with our weekly natural objects handcrafted miniature raft race. Approximately 4-6+ clay pieces plus our sculpture will be completed to be picked up at a later date.

• Pottery &Clay Camp  students will be spending the majority of the camp time indoors and Thursday sculpting along the creek side. Also dress for play as clay is Messy/Muddy. We are accepting new pre & teen students for gaining some clay experience in our Pottery Camps.
• Previous Pottery experienced, is preferred but not mandatory.
• Campers can bring a personal water bottle and small individual snack as we will take a break for hydration and some good conversation.
• Limited to 10 students which have some previous pottery class, art camp experience or strong art backgrounds for registration.
