Tuesday Night Potters Fall

This is a good night for the first time potter and (AYS member student) as a new potter you will work alongside returning students. You will learn through demos on bowls, mugs, vases and more wheel work. We will work as a small group creating clay art objects and pots using the potter’s wheel and basic techniques with some slab construction. We focus on new students for the first 1/2 hour with demonstrations and some one on one time for questions and feedback. Then we will work as a small group or individuals. All students will have access to studio’s 8 Stoneware Dipping Glazes to finish your pottery creations. Students, on average, can expect to make 8-10 pots out of 18-20lbs stoneware clay. Clay will be purchased for $35 during your first class.

Your class fee includes learning from a potter with over 35 years teaching experience, 18 hours of class time, personal shelf, tools, glazes, and the firing of your creations (firing fees may occur after 10 items). Please plan to attend all 6 weeks as due to class structure and popularity Sorry we cannot offer any makeup sessions.

** Pottery process and studio’s scheduling dose not allow for makeups for missed classes. We are a small business pottery studio and we greatly appreciate your understanding. We teach quality pottery construction and craftsmanship ( additional firing fees may occur after 10 items produced)
