End of Summer Pottery Kids Camp

 We have Expanded our camp schedule adding this NEW End of Summer Pottery Kids Camp  ( Ages 7-11 ) We will go over basic clay hand-building & the wheel in this week long Pottery Camp. techniques: pinch, coil, and slab along with a little wheel time. We should have a chances to try the pottery wheel throwing during a this pottery camp week.  In addition to focusing on a pottery hand building project we will explore clay sculpture, texture and form.  Some glaze applications will be explored at end of week. We will spend a day along the creek sculpting a nonpermanent installation along with our weekly natural objects handcrafted miniature raft race. Approximately 4-6+ clay pieces will be completed to be picked up at a later date.

Pottery Kids Camp kids will be spending the majority of the camp time in the studio but a possible park visit if projects are caught up for the day. Thursday’s sculpting along the creek side. Also dress for play as clay is Messy/Muddy. We are accepting new students for Pottery Kids Camps with a strong art background for registration.

• Previous Pottery experienced, is not necessary but helpful
• Campers can bring a personal water bottle and small individual snack as we will take a break for hydration and some good conversation.
• Limited to 12 students which have a little clay, art camp experience or strong art background for registration.
